Baby Boy Update

Woah, Baby!! Hello belly....

How far along: 25 weeks + 2 days
Gender: Boy
Weight gain: 15 lbs.
Belly Measures: 26 cm. today! Right on track
Maternity clothes: I am currently still able to mix + match. Some days I can still wear my non-maternity jeans [ woohoo! ] and some days not so much [ like above photo, haha ]. I do however LOVE maternity shirts :)
Sleep: A good night's sleep is hard to come by lately. I'm finding it hard to get comfortable + turn from one side to the other. [Yay, pregnancy] I believe it is time to break out the body pillow ;)
Best moment this month: Energy!! Until out of nowhere i'm exhausted and have to revert to bed ASAP LOL.
Worst moment this month: My daughter's drama is in full force! Whining and not listening... it's only been a few days and we are addressing it. SO far today has been much better :)
Miss anything: I miss the opportunity to drink a glass of wine or two, here and there. Other than that I'm thoroughly enjoying growing this baby boy + wouldn't trade it for anything :]
Movement: YES! This boy can kick... Must get his skills from daddy ;) Some days are less than others, but my favorite time of day is laying in bed at night feeling him move.
Cravings: Popcorn, green veggies, Passion Tea from Starbucks, Milk, Mcdonald's Breakfast [Shhh!]
Looking forward to: I am looking forward to finishing the baby nursery and revealing it to family + friends. My husband and I are working hard to get it done slowly, but surely. I also can't wait to see if baby boy has lots of hair, no hair, dark or light hair, and if he will have blue eyes like Big Sister did :]

[ Oakley is looking forward to little bro too! ]

[ He needs a football buddy ;) ]

[ I also just picked this up last night from a ThirtyOne consultant! LOVE it. Who says little boys can't be fun too?!  ]

XOXO!

Super Productive Super Bowl Weekend

From the time we woke up Saturday morning we were incredibly busy... and it was GREAT! We even were able to sleep in until 8:30! ;) Avary had dance class and right after we did a quick family lunch outing. We headed straight to Lowe's to pick out spray paint for a fun household decor DIY project I've been putting off [forever].

[ Step 1: Tape edges of mirrors. ]

[Step 2: Make Avary feel like my BIG helper. ]

[ Step 3: Spray 2 coats and let dry. ]

Once these are hung up in the house where they belong I will show them off. I absolutely LOVE the way the green mirror turned out and the POP it gives my [dull] front living room.

After an afternoon of car shopping [cannot wait to purchase] we headed home to finish up some painting in the baby nursery. It does not look like much but I am totally happy the paint is 3/4 of the way done. Next weekend is the accent wall and furniture arrangement!!

[ 'Polar White' walls for our soft, woodland themed nursery. ]

[ And Avary got into some of Dawson's collection of toys already ;) ]

Sunday consisted of sleeping in again!! and then watching the Kitten Bowl on the Hallmark Channel. My poor child wants a kitty cat sooo bad. [ Not gonna happen.] Avary and her dad went to Lowe's [again...] and bought plants and flowers for the front yard and they went to work while I prepared a yummy - Sausage Beer Cheese Dip for a Super Bowl Party later in the evening. Seemed like a fair trade to me.... my husband even pre- cut the onions for me. [Yes, he's the best.]

[Kitten Bowl. Pajamas. And crazy hair. ]

[ She had a great time helping out. aka digging holes ;) ]

Before heading out to the Super Bowl Party we swung by Grandma and Papa's for a visit. Av rode her new electric scooter, ate apples and oranges and made silly faces for Papa.

[ Silly girl + Papa ]

[ And we couldn't forget about Dawson this Super Bowl. Love Milestone Cards + they had this adorable FREE printable available. WIN! ]

Until next time! XOXO

Weekend Wrap-Up

Life has been nothing less than a roller coaster the past few weeks, so I am excited to be back to blogging after TWO weeks of silence :] My plans were to post about our fun, family & friends weekend yesterday, but Monday always seems to get the best of me. So here's what Oak and I did instead...Snuggled on the couch in my sweatshirt and capris while Oakley kept baby Dawson warm ;)

[ He really is the sweetest. There can't possibly be any other dog like him ]

Our exciting fun, family & friends weekend started late Friday afternoon with a wonderful surprise from my husband. This is how it went ---> He got out of work early & so did I. He text me saying he renewed our Disney Annual passes! I packed a couple bags as quick as possible and as soon as he walked in the door we were on our way to Orlando :)
This impromptu trip was exactly what we all needed to get out of the funk we have all been stuck in!

[ Grab Magic Bands. Check. Don't forget Pluto. Check. ]

[ So proud to have her own "big girl' ticket now! She chose Minnie Mouse... of course ;) ]

[ Yay! for some family fun. Avary loves the "train" now... aka Monorail lol ]

A few MUSTs at Disney for Avary are Ariel ride, Dumbo ride, visiting Minnie and Daisy, Its a Small World and of course we HAVE to wait in the ridiculously LONG line so she can say Hi to her bestie, Elsa and Anna!

[ Hey Mom, Look! It's King Tritan... Take my picture. ]

[ She will always love Minnie. <3 ]

[ The Dumbo Ride at night is Magical. Trust me ;) ]

[ Chatting with Elsa about making Olaf a "snow dog". They're naming her Snow-fie ]

[ Smile Avary. And Pluto. ]

Saturday was cold and VERY windy. We attended a super cute Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat themed birthday party. Avary had a blast in the bounce house,  blowing bubbles, doing crafts... [her favorite] and eating birthday cake with the birthday girl! YUM! Later that night the adults enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and the kids rode bikes.

[ Like I said. It was WINDY! ]

[ Decorating her Cat in the Hat 'Hat' ]

[ The cake was delicious. Can't ya tell?! ]

Our Sunday was pretty low key. We all strolled around Ikea to gain organization & storage ideas and headed home for a nap [for Avary] and hubby and I watched 'Into the Woods'. It was extremely strange in my opinion and the musical aspect got old pretty quick. Don't hate me if you loved it, hehe!
We did our usual cleaning and ended the night with a yummy pineapple real fruit popsicle.

[ It's the little things. ]

Well that's a wrap! I am already looking forward to next weekend... we will hopefully be making more progress on baby Dawson's woodland nursery & its Super Bowl Sunday!! Woo- hoo for snacks.

XOXO

Sweet, Sweet Saturday

Our Saturday started as a day with no plans in store and sometimes those are the best days. We took a family trip to the mall to shop for pants and a new belt for my husband [ yay... not.] BUT I am a good team player and we accomplished that goal... on top of the obligatory stop at Panera Bread for lunch and the Disney Store! I crave salads during this pregnancy like nobody's business, so Panera is a good go-to for me :D

{Other Cravings: Milk, Nachos + Passion Tea}

{This girl loves some Creamy Tomato Soup!}

{Found these adorable socks on clearance for our little guy}

Around late afternoon is was "relax time" because my 4 year old refuses to nap on the weekends. [lucky us, right?] The movie of choice was 101 Dalmations, which was a childhood favorite of mine. Av calls it the Bingo movie.... my only guess is she means Pongo. hahaha. I also snuck in some monthly planner time and experimented with headband/bow samples :D

{101 Dalmations. #greatidea #DisneyStore }

{Lovin' my new XL chiffon bow style}

This evening after bath was a SUPER sweet moment with my girl. I love this calm, down time the both of us have when my husband works nights... soon we will not have that one-on-one girl time as he starts working days. I love when Avary pulls our her bitty baby and this time I got to snap a few pics! I asked Avary if she was going to help me dress her baby brother when he is here. Her response: "Yea, I can hold his legs while daddy puts on his pants and you can do his shirt" Hahaha. Sounds like a plan kiddo!

{FYI she named her baby Lizzie. Too sweet}

{Someone wanted to try out the growth chart board we picked up for Dawson's nursery. <3}

January 2K15

So here we are... Day 2 of the New Year! I won't bore you with my New Year's Resolutions [Nobody actually sticks to them anyways ;)]BUT I am going to fill you in all all things going on with us lately!

We are expecting another little love! Baby boy Dawson Liam due the end of May. I regret not documenting it from the start, but better late than never right! [Right.]

{20 weeks & 1 day}

{19 weeks and already waving hello}

Our [baby boy #1] Oakley turned 2 years old on New Year's Day! Av thinks that is SO cool + so do we ;)

{Gosh, he's cute!}

{Boy do I miss this little fluffy baby face}

I secretly couldn't wait for the holidays hustle n' bustle to end so we could get started on Dawson's baby nursery. Before I knew baby #2 was a boy I had my heart set on a Woodland Themed Nursery. The original bedding and sheets I wanted sold out before we knew the gender. I was BUMMED until I found this [perfect] bedding set from Dwell Studio!! Later, I found a [FLUFFY] rug that I've always wanted and everything started falling into place. Nothing is more fun to me than planning!! - planning anything from parties, crafts, events and home decor!

{This mommy sure does appreciate her helpers}

{ahh, love it! Find it here}

{50 shades of green hehe. P.S. It was much easier to get it color matched}
